About Kim

Kim is an experienced and accredited counsellor who specialises in supporting women through the emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany fertility difficulties, pregnancy loss, and reproductive health journeys. She offers a calm, confidential space for clients to explore their feelings, strengthen resilience, and restore emotional balance.

An accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Kim holds an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a Diploma in Online Counselling and Psychotherapy, enabling her to work safely and effectively both in person and remotely.

She is also an Accredited Practitioner with the Foundation for Infant Loss, with additional specialist training from PETALS (Supporting Parents Following Baby Loss). Her expertise includes supporting women and couples through infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and the complex emotions of childlessness.

Kim’s compassionate, evidence-informed approach complements Truth Fertility’s philosophy of whole-person care — recognising that emotional wellbeing is fundamental to reproductive health and the journey toward parenthood.

The Emotional Impact of Fertility Treatment

Fertility treatment can take a profound emotional toll. Studies show that 30–40% of women experience clinical levels of depression or anxiety during fertility treatment, and up to half report depressive symptoms at some stage of their journey. These rates are two to three times higher than in the general population, reflecting the intense emotional, physical, and financial pressures of trying to conceive.

Emotional support isn’t a luxury — it’s a vital part of fertility care. Specialist counselling can help patients process complex emotions, build resilience, and find balance through each stage of treatment.

Specialist Support After Loss

Experiencing miscarriage or baby loss can be devastating, yet many people receive little to no emotional support afterwards. Research shows that fewer than one in five women are offered counselling following a miscarriage, despite clear evidence that early therapeutic support can ease grief, reduce trauma, and improve emotional recovery.

Kim is an Accredited Practitioner with the Foundation for Infant Loss and has completed advanced training with PETALS, the national baby loss counselling charity. Her work focuses on creating a safe, non-judgmental space for patients to process their experience — whether the loss occurred recently or many years ago.

She offers specialist support for pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, and involuntary childlessness, recognising that these experiences often carry silent grief. Through gentle, trauma-informed counselling, Kim helps individuals and couples find meaning, healing, and hope for the future.
