These terms apply when you purchase a diagnostic test or testing service through Truth Fertility.

Please read them before purchasing. By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. About Truth Fertility

Truth Fertility provides fertility-related diagnostic testing and support alongside our clinical services.

Depending on the investigation purchased, testing may be performed by an independent specialist laboratory or diagnostic provider. Truth Fertility may facilitate the testing process, including arranging test kits, sample collection, laboratory testing and/or return of results.

The laboratory or provider used will depend upon the test purchased.

2. Choosing an appropriate test

Diagnostic tests should be selected according to individual circumstances.

Some tests can be purchased directly. For others, we may recommend a consultation or clinical review before testing.

Purchasing a test does not guarantee that the investigation will identify a cause for fertility difficulties, pregnancy loss or other symptoms.

Where different levels or versions of a test are available, Truth Fertility may contact you to discuss which option is most appropriate before testing proceeds.

3. Prices

The price shown at the time of purchase is the price payable for the test or service described.

The individual test information will explain what is included in the price and whether any additional costs may apply.

Additional costs may include services provided independently, such as phlebotomy, where these are not included within the Truth Fertility test price.

Where an existing-patient rate is offered, this is available only to patients who meet the eligibility criteria stated at the time of purchase. Truth Fertility reserves the right to request payment of the difference where an existing-patient rate has been purchased incorrectly.

4. Deposits

Some diagnostic services, including certain Sperm DNA Fragmentation testing appointments, may be booked by paying a deposit.

Where a deposit is taken, it will be deducted from the final cost of the agreed test.

The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline provided before testing.

Where different testing options are available, the final balance will depend upon the test agreed following review.

5. Test kits

Where a test requires a kit, this will be sent to the address supplied by the purchaser or made available according to the instructions provided.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact and delivery information and to follow the instructions supplied with the kit.

Please contact Truth Fertility promptly if a kit is lost, damaged or does not arrive.

Replacement kits may incur an additional charge where replacement is required for reasons outside the control of Truth Fertility.

6. Purchasing a test for another person

A test may sometimes be purchased by someone other than the person being tested.

If you purchase a test on another person's behalf, you must provide the patient's correct full name and requested contact information.

Payment for a test by another person does not provide that person with access to the patient's clinical information or test results.

The person being tested may be required to complete additional documentation or provide consent before testing can proceed.

7. Sample collection

Different tests have different collection requirements.

These may include:

• blood sampling;
• semen collection;
• vaginal swabbing;
• saliva collection; or
• another form of sample collection.

Please follow the instructions provided carefully, including any requirements relating to timing, abstinence, fasting, medication, menstrual cycle timing or sample handling.

Where phlebotomy or another sample-collection service is arranged independently, that provider is responsible for the service it provides.

8. Samples that cannot be processed

Occasionally a laboratory may be unable to analyse a sample, for example because of insufficient sample volume, collection problems, deterioration in transit or another technical issue.

Where this occurs, we will explain the options available. These may include repeat sample collection.

Whether an additional charge applies will depend upon the circumstances and the laboratory/provider's policy.

9. Laboratory turnaround times

Any turnaround time given is an estimate rather than a guaranteed result date.

Laboratory processing times can occasionally be affected by circumstances outside Truth Fertility's control.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed if we become aware of a significant delay.

10. Results

Results will be provided according to the process described for the individual test.

Some tests include review or interpretation by Truth Fertility; others may require a separate consultation.

Laboratory reference ranges and results must always be interpreted within the wider clinical context.

A test result alone should not be used to make significant medical or treatment decisions without appropriate clinical advice.

11. Medical care

Truth Fertility diagnostic testing is intended to support fertility investigation and care.

It does not replace medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment by your GP, fertility specialist or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Where a result requires medical investigation or treatment outside our scope of practice, we may recommend that you discuss it with your GP, fertility clinic or another appropriate healthcare professional.

12. Genetic testing

Some investigations, including karyotyping, involve genetic testing.

Genetic results can sometimes have implications beyond the immediate fertility question being investigated, including potential implications for biological relatives.

Where appropriate, further medical or genetic counselling may be recommended following a result.

13. Cancellation and refunds

Your cancellation and refund rights depend upon the stage the testing process has reached and the nature of the test or service purchased.

If you wish to cancel, please contact Truth Fertility as soon as possible.

Where laboratory services, personalised test materials, kits or other services have already been ordered or supplied at your request, reasonable costs already incurred may be deducted from any refund where permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

14. Rescheduling testing appointments

Where testing requires attendance at a specific Truth Fertility testing session, please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment.

Some testing sessions have advance cut-off dates because kits, couriers and laboratory arrangements must be organised beforehand.

Late cancellations or changes may therefore result in costs already incurred being deducted from any refund or transferred payment, where permitted by law.

15. Privacy and confidentiality

Truth Fertility handles personal and health information in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

Diagnostic information may need to be shared securely with the laboratory, diagnostic provider or other healthcare provider involved in providing the test.

Clinical information and results will not be provided to the person who paid for a test simply because they made the payment where they are not the patient.

16. Third-party providers

Truth Fertility works with independent laboratories, couriers, phlebotomy providers and other healthcare or diagnostic organisations.

Where a third party provides part of the service, its own terms and policies may also apply to that part of the service.

Truth Fertility is not responsible for matters outside its reasonable control, but we will assist where reasonably possible if a problem arises with a test we have arranged.

17. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under UK consumer law.

Services provided by Truth Fertility will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
